Music

Thousands of people in North Lanarkshire get involved in the huge variety that music has to offer. There is a lively pop band and folk scene and groups taking part in classical and other types of music. There are also many teachers.

A Bands Network has recently been formed. Contact Stuart McLeod who is Technician at the Petersburn Recording Studio on 01236 760315. Stuart's colleague Scott Morrice is in charge of Music works at Wishaw Library which is an equipped rehearsal and classroom space, telephone 01698 351362.

NLC's Arts Development Officer (Music) is Jacqui Sharples, based at Bellshill Cultural Centre on 01698 346774.
